2nd Card for PHYSX Worth It?

I currently have two GTX 550ti in SLI.
I plan to upgrade one of the cards to a GTX 960 and I wanted to keep one of the 550ti cards connected via the SLI bridge for PHYSX purposes only.
Will it be worth it? Will I notice a performance boost just using the 550ti for PHYSX?

There is a big error there. You can only have 1 type of video card. Or bottlenecking may occur. You can't have a Nvidia Gtx 550ti and a Nvidia GT 960ti.

Get a NIDIA GeForce GTX 970 instead. It's more powerful than even two GTX 770's

Also, if you did, you would notice some performance gain, but just get a 970 or two 960's.

Yep. Look at the GPU boss way of saying it

Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti vs GeForce GTX 970

Also if you're going for a cooler running 970 AND having very great performance then go with the MSI 970

Ok. I just placed a order for a MSI GTX-970. Got it from Best Buy for $334 (total cost) due to having a coupon for 10% off.

I hope to experience a substantial gain in performance.

The i5 4690K is an awesome gaming CPU. I have it in the build I'm saving up for! Great choice in parts by the way.
