Hello, I recently bought a monitor that has been working perfect, the thing is that I had a VGA cable, now I had to change to DVI cable for a reason, since I changed it, I have my windows not recognizing the second monitor, saying "Generic non-PnP monitor" and has tons of resolutions, anyone know how I can make it recognize?

Check your GPU driver control program, for AMD there is "Use EDID (Extended Display Identification Data)" in CCC. It tells your computer which monitor it is and what it's capable of.

I don't know exactly, didn't have nVidia anything few years back but it must have some controls in right corner on taskbar, maybe with hidden icons.
