I play a LOT of Star Trek Online, and as an MMORPG, the game is prone to a lot of updates. The game recently launched a new "season" (expansion) and after downloading the updated game data, I attempted to log in. The client program loads up, runs through the loading sequence, and then crashes at the displaying of the game's new logo.

At this point, I get the following window that pops up, along with the prompt that says "Display Driver has Crashed and Recovered."

I have tried everything I know how to do, from un-installing the game and re-downloading it, to un-installing the driver for the graphics card and installing the latest version, unfortunately with the same results. I have expended my IT-field knowledge, and now have decided to reach out for help.

My current graphics card is an older ATI Radeon HD3600 series, with 1 GB of GDDR. I think I can assume that, at this point, the card is just unable to keep up with the demands of the game/system.

Looks like a more powerful, more up-to-date graphics card solved this issue.
