Display driver stopped responding and has recovered

so i got this problem, it happend with the second latest driver a week ago and the new 350.12 nvidia driver today while playing total war attila, i then get a popup saying display driver has stopped responding and has recovered, what do i do? the card is 10days old



specs:
4790k i7
gtx 970 strix
8gig 1600mhz ram
msi z97m gaming
v650s gold from coolermaster

tried running aida64 for 30mins with no issue, then i tried furmark 4 times, the first two times it crashes giving me and opengl error message last 2 times it ran fine.

Sometimes a TDR thing, may have to change it. Also try disabling sound card and see if it runs ok.

only got onboard sound

You should still be able to disable it in Device Manager.

but why would i do that?

For testing purposes. To see if a delay between the audio/video is causing it.
