Problem with a Gigabyte video card

I got a new computer to replace an old one. The new computer has a Gigabyte gv-n75toc-2gi in it. While I was setting up the new computer, I was using a 17" lcd VGA monitor. I had it hooked up to the display port monitor by using an adapter they sold me. It worked perfectly for 3 days on the 17" lcd While I transferred over files and settings. Today, I was ready to set it in place and use the 2 21" lcds that I use now on the old computer. I hooked one of the 21" VGA LCD'S to the same adapter. I hooked the other up to the flat panel display port with a VGA adapter. When the computer comes on the first display comes up ok but after about a minute, it goes blank and says no signal. It never turns on the 2nd one on. I went to the control panel and clicked on the setup 2nd monitor button but it never finds the 2nd monitor. Both monitors are 21" LCD VGA monitors. I am not sure what is wrong and need help. If I go back and plug in the 17" monitor it comes right back up.

What inputs are available on the monitors, VGA, DVI, HDMI etc? Also what outputs are available on the Video card, VGA, DVI-D, DVI-I, HDMI etc. I ask because DVI-I can easily be converted to VGA with a simple inexpensive adapter. Also monitors of that size should have more than just a VGA connector, or is it just that your calling them VGA monitors?
