I'm assuming you are using the Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL chipset. The driver for that chipset currently does not work due to the driver being xddm. We are working on a workaround, and so far non have worked.Mark Phelps reply 3 Weeks Ago on Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL chipset Driver.
"Also, I recently did some testing in Win8 CP -- and the same driver limitations apply, that is, NONE of the Intel 915 video drivers will install, no matter what you do. You get a simplified version of Aero using the Basic driver that is installed automatically."
errr. The microsoft basic display driver cannot handle outputs because it has no control of the hardware. That is what the drivers from the manufacturer are for.It would have been a better choice if the default had have an option for 16x9 wide screen. 1280x 768.
I'm getting black bars on the top and bottom when playing a video as if I didn't have a wide screen monitor
was if I was using a VCR.
I can switch back to an older version.
The computer is only for recreational use and I did want a redo back to a cleaner version.
