Win 8.1 installs ok - Boots and then blanks HDTV
I use a Sharp HDTV for my HTPC. I connect it to my PC via HDMI. Under Win 7 this works fine.
I switched to Win 8.1 and with the exact same set up Win 8 Blanks the HDTV after booting.
I tried connecting a PC monitor as a second screen and Win 8 blanks that as well at the same time as the HDTV.
The only interface that works with the PC to the HDTV is the RGB analog. Not useful
So any help would be appreciated. Again Win 8.1 boots and then blanks the HDTV.

My Media PC is connected to my TV via HDMI, no problems that I know of. It's the only connection to that PC. Does the TV or monitor show no signal or just a blank screen?

Well I'm happy to hear your system works.
As I said it boots and I can get to the bios etc before Win 8 starts so a signal is present. However once Win 8.1 starts it seemingly switchs off the screen signal and consequently my HDTV screen goes blank.

Blank as in a an all black screen or blank with a no signal message? There is a difference? If you connect just the PC monitor does Windows load OK?
