Black screen in the morning after GPU upgrade

Since I upgraded my i5-GPU to a HD7770 my monitor won't wake up as it were after leaving my system running over night. I had a look in event viewer and didn't see anything except the forced restarts I've been forced to do. Not entirely sure what to look for though. Any ideas on what I should try next?

My system:
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68
CPU: Intel i5-2500k
GPU: AMD Radeon HD7770
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance LP White
Storage: Samsung 830, WD Green 3TB, DVD-RW
Add-on cards: E-mu 0404 PCI sound card
USB peripherals: Keyboard, mouse, WLan, Webcam, printer, TV tuner, SD card reader

Uninstall the Driver and device in Device Manager. Then reinstall the driver from amd.com for the GPU. Also click on show Hidden devices, to make sure there are no traces of the previous driver install for the old GPU still left behind.
