How to reduce intel hd4600 shared system memory?

I have asus n550ja laptop with 8gb memory, the shared system memory is 1760mb, I usually don't play any games, there is no reason I can use that much graphic card memory. But because of the high shared memory, I cannot use all possible memory for virtual machine or ramdisk, when I use those, they can only maximum use about 6.5gb memory and cannot go higher. So I wonder is there a way I can reduce the intel graphic card shared system memory?

I don't know about Laptop but on HP desktop with Intel integrated graphics there was a setting on one of the BIOS pages. You may have to hold down shift key when you click Shutdown. Then when you power up there should be a key to get into the BIOS setup. On my Toshiba it is F2. On your machine it may be another such as Del. It should say on boot. If you miss hitting the key while trying to read the boot screen info just go around again. Keep tapping the key while the machine is coming up. Where they put the setting varies with the make and model. If you can't find a guid online you just have to search through all the BIOS pages and settings.

Unlucky I searcher all the options in my bios but find nothing can adjust this……the only thing I find is I can adjust the pre-allocated memory, but this can not help……is there any other way to adjust it?like driver or something?

Have you tried asus specific forum? Most manufacturers have one. Sometimes there's info only available there. I had a similar thing with HP desktops with hyperthread Intel CPUs. They were locking up with no fan speedup. No setting in BIOS. I asked on HP Business forum. Turns out there was an Easter Egg to open the BIOS page with the fan speed settings. No more lockups. It's worth a try.
