I am currently running win8.1 and my LG monitor have some problem and it will only works on 800x600 56Hertz resolution. But I can see there only 800x600 64Hertz and others like 1024x768,etc. so my question is there anyway to obtain 56Hertz resolution in my pc?
I am having HP Compaq dc5100sff.

In Device Manager under Monitor does it just say generic or is the specific monitor listed?

See if you can download software for that exact monitor from the maker. Usually there's some kind of accompanying software that identifies it and its capabilities to Windows.

The Intel drivers for the 915 chipsets (and prior) utilized XPDM for the display. While this worked in Win7, MS removed XPDM support for Win8 and beyond. I know because I had an old Toshiba laptop with an Intel 915GM chipset and no amount of tweaking would get the Intel drivers to install or work. Intel started supporting WDDM with their 945 chipset.

According to my quick Google search, the Compaq dc5100 uses the Intel 915GM chipset -- so, if this is the case with yours, you are out of luck.
