Hi,
I've spent quite a bit of time trying to fix this issue, where "switchable graphics" won't work since upgrading to Windows 8.
Both drivers are installed and i've gotten my ATI HD 5000 card showing error 10 (can't start) and 43 at various points. I've used the latest, third party and official HP win7 drivers, with and without compatibility mode.

Currently both drivers show the driver provider as "Advanced Micro Devices, inc" which was supposedly required to get the switchable graphics option, however i'm still unable to switch grpahics mode.
I'm unable to turn off the Intel card in my bios and the bios updates fail to run (says the files are corupt, after multiple successful dl)

I'd appreciate any help you can provide, I don't want to have to pay for a new owrkstation for such a silly problem.
Thanks,

EDIT:
Issue potentially fixed after installing a million and one different drivers. Both drivers are showing green in device manager now and are signed by ATI. My graphics adapter in DXDiag now shows ATI, Still unable to switch but if i'm using the gruntier graphics card that'll do for now. Will test and confirm.
