Greetings
Info: Dell Inspiron 15, win8 premium, I5, 4GB

What do I have to do when faced with the following error message:
Catalyst Control Center: Host application has stopped working

I have a close program option. I do it. Nothing looks different. Everything works as before.
But it is annoying.
Please help

Update your GPU driver. It's either out of date or has got corrupted some how which is why you are getting that error.

Thank you for your quick answer.
Why do I have AMD video driver if I have an Intel Graphic card?

I did update AMD 7600 drivers and will report if it solved the problem.

Darn good question; something is amiss here for sure.

Could you please list your exact make/model of your Dell laptop?

What it looks like, is that is has a switchable GPU setup. You have a cpu from Intel that has the HD 4000 series GPU built onto the chip and then have a separate AMD Radeon Mobile GPU. So you have both.

Maybe that is why everything worked normally after the error message.
Will update Intel graphics too.
Anyway I see the problem as solved, thanks to you, since the error message no longer appears

Since you helped me with the graphics, maybe you can solve my other problem.
I posted a problem about yellow sign in the device manager regarding bluetooth.
Could you please see if you can help me with that too?
Thank you again

You should really not start adding new problems to the same thread. Folks tend to respond based on the thread title -- and your says nothing about a device manager/Bluetooth problem. You should really start a new thread so folks can see you need help in those areas.
