I am using Samsung laptop ( core i3 , ram 3gb , hdd 320 gb , ati mobility radeon 4500 series - 512 mb, windows 8 ).I want to overclock my system for better gaming performance . I have tried to do with MSI afterburner . But I am not at all able to increase the sliders in that case . I then used Sapphire Trixx and EVGA Precision X . They allowed me to increase the GPU clock and memory clock . But on restart , they were set up to the default . Even though i made the changes and clicked " apply " , On restart it is brought back to default .

So , plz help me with this . I want to overclock my systerm . I have also uploaded the
screenshots .

First of all, make sure you tick "apply settings at startup" secondly increase power limit to 20% or your card will throttle a hell of a lot.

On to the serious bit, only overclock in 5MHz increments and test in a game for 30 minutes minimum to check for display errors. If no errors go another 5MHz etc.

IMPORTANT: Only overclock core or memory when testing, example: overclock core to find its highest stable speed. Then do the same to the memory. When overclocking, once you start getting display errors, thats when you up the voltage (BE VERY CAREFUL WITH UPPING THE VOLTAGE AS YOU CAN FRY YOUR CARD), I tend to just go for the highest speed on stock voltage for GPU and CPU as upping voltage actually shortens the components lifespan.
