Second screen fitting problem

So i just hooked up a windows 8 tablet I have to my TV so I can kick back on the couch and use my big TV as a screen instead of the tablets. Anyways, when I go in to the settings to set my resolution it says I'm using 1920 x 1080. That is the resolution of my TV but it cuts all the edges of the screen so I cant see my tabs in Chrome or the bar down at the bottom of my open programs. Is this a known issue and is there a fix for it?

This can be normal for a TV. You'll need to go into your NVIDIA or ATI settings, and manually adjust the desktop size for the TV.

What graphics card do you have? I'll be happy to help you with it.

Ha ha I just have a budget tablet for browsing the web and Microsoft Office. Nothing fancy with Nvidia or ATI.

LOL, Intel graphics the one I don't have experience with. For now, see if this may help though.

You can fix this in the Intel drivers - look for the "Quantization" setting. It will default to "limited" which clips part of your screen area on some monitors (all mine included). Set it to either default or full instead as you prefer.

Sadly, the settings does NOT save on reboot... which sucks badly. But hey, it's Intel drivers =(

I'm not sure what this Quantization setting is. I did a quick google search on it but didn't find much. Do you have any clue?

I wish I had Intel graphics to better help, but I found this for Intel and Quantization. Not sure if it's the same for you or not though.

Unfortunately mine looks nothing like that. Thanks for the help though. I guess I'll just have to stick to a lower resolution that fits the screen.
