Hi, this is my first post, but I'm glad I found a forum like this for guys like me.
My specs:
HP Envy M4-1015dx
Windows 8
Intel HD 4000
8 gb RAM
1 TB HDD
My situation: I read that there was an update to Intel HD 4000's graphics driver for Windows 8.
(on 9/11/2013 - here's the link: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/De...cessors+with+Intel®+HD+Graphics+4000&lang=eng)
I ran my system through the Intel Automatic Update Utility, and it told me that my HD 4000 graphic drivers were customized by the OEM, and that I'd have to update through the HP support website.
So I went to the HP website, found my drivers, but alas, their version is from 10/18/2012! That's a year old! (Link - Software & driver downloads HP ENVY m4-1015dx Notebook PC | HP® Support)
My question: Is it safe for me to download the update from Intel, and install it manually through Intel? Thanks for the help
