Hi guys,

I'm having an odd problem with one of my rigs. I installed an EVGA GT630 1GB but it doenst work properly with Windows 8 Pro x64. All I have is a black screen, but the computer isnt freezing, 'cos I can hear the logon and shutdown sounds. I've tested it on Server 2003 R2 x64 (XPDM) and it worked just fine.

I got noyhing from nVidia forums...

What do you think? May it be a problem with WDDM (defective card)?

:(

Does it work with Windows 8 in safe mode?

If yes, that would suggest a driver or display settings problem.

Yes, it works in safe mode, what suggests a driver problem. But what is strange is that I tryed versions 310.90 (latest), 313.96 (beta) and 301.42 and none worked.

~update~

Also not working on Vista / Seven (WDDM)

I'm starting toi think that I should have continued as an ATi fanboy !

It worked ! It was all about DVI refresh rate and my LCD. I had to set it to 65 Hz, what is not that good, but at least work.
