Can't find any drivers compatible for my laptop.

I'm trying to play minecraft and other games but they don't load or display correctly.

Computer: Sony Vaio VGN-CR31Z

All the drivers I download aren't compatible.

Before Win 8 everything worked fine with Intel Centrino.
But Windows Basic Display Adapter is horrible and the only compatible.
Does anyone have any drivers that would work? Everything I've downloaded is not compatible.
Even the Sony Europe website doesn't have the correct drivers, it just makes my resolution weird.
Also my PC needs a driver with OpenGL.. for MC.

Thanks :'D

According to my quick Google search, your laptop has the ATi Radeon X2300 graphics card. There are some threads in this forum section about legacy drivers that MIGHT work with this card. You should check them out.

It didn't work, It gave me an error message then cancelled it itself :/

I believe that if you use modified drivers, they won't install on Win8 X64 unless you turn off the driver signing protection. The 32 bit version may be less persnickety.

IF you use IE and browse the Microsoft Update Catalog (have to install the app), and do a search on "ATI Mobility Radeon X2300", you will see a list of drivers, of which the top two are for Windows 7.

You could try using those and see what happens.

I also tried to do the same thing for my Dad but found only the Vista drivers on Gateway site worked:
http://www.eightforums.com/graphic-cards/17451-ati-mobility-radeon-x2300-hd-driver-help.html

The problem is the drivers don't use the new WDM of Windows 8 but it does allow my dad to use Windows 8 until he gets a new laptop.

Here is the download link From Gateway for the driver:
