Is my NVidia Card Making my games crash?
Hi, i have had many problems with games on Windows 8 and posted many threads about it. I have researched that NVidia cards and Windows 8 don't mix very well. My games allways lag and crash and this is on newer games as well. Could my NVidia card be the issue? If i tried another card E.g. ATI would it fix my problem.
Thanks.

Hard to say.
NVidia's drivers have made lots of crashes in the past, including under Windows 7. Some of us think that their drivers are better than AMDs, even so.
Have you installed the latest drivers for your card?

There are also new beta drivers for the card, if you wish to experiment:

The GT440 isn't a high end card, so I'm not sure what best you may hope for.

Win8 needs newer drivers.
Hope you don't use the same as in Win7.

I wondered if you'd run them under Win7. Your system obviously pre-dates Win8.
What's your sound card? The worst driver problems I had in the past were from Creative Labs.
