Hi all,

So I just finished building a new pc and loaded windows 8 pro on it. The graphics card I am running is: Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GV-R787OC-2GD Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card which is a 7870 series card. The screen is nothing special: Hannspree HF327 that runs 1920x1080. For some reason however Windows 8 compresses the image leaving a unused border around the edge of the screen to run it at 1920x1080 which it calls it the recommended resolution. I am finding this strange because I can piggy back the screen on my laptop and it runs 1920x1080 using all the real estate on the screen. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this issue. Thanks in advance!

you have to play with your catalyst settings. after tweaking mine, this problem went away.
