Hello,

I just recently upgraded from Windows 7 64-bit to Windows 8 64-bit, and everything is running smoothly, except my AMD Radeon HD 6700M graphics card is having some trouble. It shows up in the device manager, but has an exclamation point by it. Whenever I run games, it always uses the Intel HD graphics. I have Catalyst Control Centre, but there are no options for my graphics card. I changed the graphics dual option to "Fixed" in BIOS. I've tried uninstalling, and reinstalling, and still no luck. The latest CCC I got was from the HP Rep. I chatted with. It didn't show an exclamation point before I rebooted so I assumed everything was fixed. Whenever I try downloading from the AMD website, I get incompatible software even though I am in the right category, so the sticky threads above I've had no luck with yet. Any ideas? Thanks for the help!

running an HD 6370M here, and all is ok with the latest 13.1 and FYI all was ok with 12.1 too . So use amd uninstall utility , and it will ask you to reboot.
Then reinstall 13.1 the latest. If any prob , let us know. You should be good.

Hi, I did as you said. I uninstalled using the uninstall utility, rebooted, and tried to install the Catalyst Software Suite 13.1, it tells me successfully installed, but I still don't have Catalyst Control Centre, and no display drivers were downloaded. I downloaded this one here: AMD Catalyst don't know if it's the right one. Only one I can find after taken to download link from the top sticky thread. Thanks.

EDIT: I downloaded and installed the Leshcat driver version of 13.1, and it works. I have Catalyst Control Centre, exclamation point gone, and games are now using the AMD card. Just wondering though, what is the difference between the two from AMD and Leshcat? Because Leshcat seemed to have worked for me.

Takes two tries sometimes. I had a slight prob installing 12.1, however after reinstalling twice ccc was ok, so could be a prob with amd package, which wont be a surprise as they messed up the release of 13.1 where they mixed audio drivers between 86 and 64 packages. Lots of people that installed 13.1 right after release face audio driver install failure, I did as well and had to fuss with install couple times...anyway glad all ok with your graphic card.
