Hi, Geeve420; thanks for your fast reply.

Ok, but the problem it´s the CCC.exe (Catalyst control center) where i can configure 3d application sets for gaming, not the drive.
In the video above the man only install the drive; where CCC.exe for configure?

Sunshine for you and thanks again.

I will have to double check when I get home, but I believe it pulled the ccc as well doing it that way.

When I look I have the CCC in my tray, so I am going to assume it did that as well as the driver install.

Not sure if this applies to your problem but I had this show up on shut down;
“.NET-BroadcastEventWindow.4.0.0.0.282af8c.0:ccc.exe”
I cured it by doing the following;

CCC Exe or CCC Manager not running correctly in older Radeon drivers on Windows 8

“.NET-BroadcastEventWindow.4.0.0.0.282af8c.0:ccc.exe” may show at shutdown.

First check if a newer driver is available remembering that AMD have said that they will NOT be updating all drivers to Win 8.
If new drivers are available, then install them!

If no updated driver available then go to Task Manager and look in “Processes”, “Start-up” or “Services” for “CCC manager”, when you find it, right click it and click on “Compatibility” tab and set to “Run In Windows 7 Compatibility Mode”. Restart and all should be OK.
This saves having to remove or disable it (disabling also stops this issue but I don’t know what, if any other performance implications there may be).

The latest driver for your 4870 is 13.1 found here....AMD Catalyst

I see you have 2 of those, are you running them in crossfire using the bridge to connect the two cards?

There also seems to be a place in the CCC to enable crossfire when you have 2 or more cards connected. Have you enabled it?

Hi bassfisher6522
This is a crossfire card , but it´s not enable. The problem it´s the same without crossfire card 4000 series.
Now with 13.6 beta the problem is intermittent.

Hi Richard Crow
I'll give it a go tomorrow

Thank you both

Make sure you follow the steps in the UTube video, not just running the installer. I have an HD 4290, I ran the installer, and while it didn't complain, it didn't install the drivers, either. The steps in the UTube video are important.
