Hey Guys.
I have just installed windows 8 to give it a try and I have a problem.
I can not find the drivers for my video card and my screen res. is at 1024x768.

My display is saying its a Generic Non-PnP Monitor and im sure thats cuz there are no video card drivers and its using the basic video driver by MS.

oh also its a laptop. A Old Compaq Presario V6000 with 1gb of Ram (trying to get the res to 1200x800/I think)

It appears that you should at least be able to get Vista drivers, which may be persuaded to work under Windows 8.

8 won't use the XP drivers (like Win 7 could). but you should be able to find WDDM 1.0 (or later) which are OK.

I'd try to provide a link, but you appear to have a V6000 series laptop. www.hp.com may have what you need, but the exact model number will be required to get the right ones.
