Windows 8 worked great until I shut it down, went to turn it back on and it is HIBERNATING. I shut it down, took the battery out, left it plugged out, but when I try to turn it back on it just says "hibernating". Does anyone know how to get windows 8 out of hybernation.

I believe you are thinking Windows 8 is hibernating, which technically is true. The reason it boots faster from start up after you hit Shut down is because it does use the hibernate file. The feature is called Hybrid Boot.
Unless of course, you specifically hit Shut down from the Settings charms and it goes to hibernate.
