55 problems but there might actually be one

Out of nowhere, my action center decided to spend about 2 minutes processing, and suddenly it tells me that Microsoft needs to get more information from my computer to solve 55 problems. I declined, cuz I didn't really want to sit through all that. Now the action center seems to have no issues whatsoever. Now that I look back on it though (even though I'm just a general lay-person of the paranoid type) I am wondering if something was attempting a hack.

Has anyone else seen a sudden mass of issues appear in their action center? Just curious. If I'm right (which I mostly doubt) there maybe a weakness there in terms of unauthorized access. Please any techies who know their stuff investigate this or just tell me that I'm 'noiding.

It might depend on what the problems Action Center is detecting. If possible, try looking into the Reliability Monitor from Action Center and see if there are any critical errors. Chances are that some apps or programs or updates or driver installs failed.

I've been using the leaked RTM build of Windows 8 for about a couple weeks and I have about 16 critical errors I wasn't aware of...

The program that stopped responding was a standalone so that's probably not it. Idk I'm not worried about it too much now I upped some of the security levels for the network. Still tho...
