Windows 8 asking for password but I didn't enter one on installation

    Hi there,

I installed windows 8 release preview on my Samsung Slate yesterday. When it asked me to enter a password, I didn't and continued. After the installation was complete, the system asks me for a password. I press enter but it says the pw is incorrect so I tried all my old passwords but to no avail. I cannot reinstall it because I'm unable to change the boot order from bios to my 32GB USB thumb drive as it is not letting me.

I am desperate and any help would be absolutely great.

    Thanks,

    Kazombie.

Windows password or BIOS password? The Windows password will not stop you from changing your BIOS settings, the BIOS loads before windows does.

Just so you know, there is an option to use a local account instead or the Windows live ID. That option switches you back to the Username/Password mode.
