I just bought a harddisk for my ,8 years old dell inspiron 6000 laptop. It a wd Scorpio blue 250 Gb drive but in my bios it is just showing 137gb. So I thought low level format will solve this. Although in Windows setup it shows 250 Gb.

If the Windows setup is able to identify it and it sees the full capacity, I would suggest that you just install it.

Yeah, good to see that Windows is able to work past that BIOS limitation. If Windows saw it, you should be ok.
