Windows 8 looks so cool, i honestly dont know what all the big fuss is about and im thinking of trying it myself, so can the release preview be used as a primary os or not? Are there any major bugs and is it fully stable?

Depends on your hardware and software really. Some people have no problems at all and others have a lot of weird issues.

Pull out an old drive off the shelf and install it and see for yourself :)

I would NOT install it on top of any working OS though, unplug that drive and keep it safe in case you need to put it back!

(To be clear, I would not install even the RTM over a working windows 7 or XP install either. You never know what might happen, always best to have a clean and easy way to undo damage if necessary)

Been stable enough for me to use daily at work. It does look pretty in areas, but I don't find it much more efficient or functionally much better than Windows 7.

It really wont be a problem for me since i have a recovery partition and my specs are in my profile, do you think it is enough for the x64 version?

One more thing should i wait for RTM Version or just download the RP now?

Yes, no problems on your specs. I'm running on an Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.3Ghz CPU with 2GB of RAM, and onboard craptastic Intel video from a small form factor Dell over 6 years old.

You'll need about 30 gigs to make a daily used OS. Not only is the Release Preview real solid, for me, Windows 8 has been solid since the early Developer Preview from last September, and I used Windows 8 pretty much 24/7 as it was THAT solid! I have installed 8 onto about 8 different machines from a netbook to a few laptops and a few desktops, all have ran it exceptionally well. The only issue I've had were on two desktops where the wasn't an updated graphics driver for Windows 8 on those chipsets. Even still, graphically, it was very much able to be used. It's a very stable build and I can say for myself that on your hardware, there shouldn't be any issue.

I would go for the Release Preview as that's a free to use OS until January I believe. Though, it obviously isn't near done. The Desktop isn't finished and the Start Screen isn't totally done I bet as there might be more color customizations in the RTM than the Release Preview. If you wait for the RTM, you might be waiting a few weeks for it.

And yes, I do agree with you, I don't get the fuss either. It works better than 7 and I find it to be easier than 7 ONCE you have a good hang of it.
