Lenovo Y410p running Windows 8. I have my laptop connected to a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. The laptop itself stays closed, under my desk. I use it pretty much all day. The issue is that it will go to sleep by itself, randomly, a few times a week. For the most part, whenever I leave it idle, like when I go to the bathroom, or eat, its fine, but a few times a week it will go to sleep by itself while idle. And by idle, I mean i'll stop using it for a few minutes, to check my phone, or talk with someone. Most of these times its fine, but every so often it goes to sleep by itself. My power settings are on max performance. I switched to balanced for a day but still encountered the issue.

One thing I would try is open up all the USB connected stuff, mouse keyboard etc.. in Device Manager and make sure none of them have the option "Allow device to be turned off to save power" or similar, enabled. Likewise with your network cards. Sometimes one of those gets shut off and for some reason the PC decides to take a nap.
