Hey there.

Whenever I Shut down my PC, around half the time it ends up hanging on the "Shutting Down..." screen.

But when it does shut down properly, around half the time it hangs on Powering on, sometimes at the "Welcome..." screen, and sometimes at a black screen before reaching the Welcome screen.

This problem's been with me for a long while, maybe around 6 months.

I've checked lots of different solutions from different forums, but to no avail. Here's a list of what I've tried:
  • Disabling the Wireless adapter in Device Manager. Didn't work, although it seemed to work for most other people.
  • Using this command in CMD (admin): "powercfg -h off". nope.
  • This command: "dism.exe /check-image /online /restorehealth" which is supposed to find errors. No errors found.
  • "control panel>hardware and sounds>power options>change plan settings>change advanced settings>Multimedia settings>Allow sleep when playing/sharing video" in case PC is secretly streaming, which is preventing shut down. Apparently not my case.

I'd really like to get rid of this problem, I've been forced to press and hold the forbidden emergency shut down button every time it hangs.
All help is very much appreciated, Thank you in advance :)
