My laptop is running windows 8.1 (64-bit) which *is up to date. When I start my Windows Media Player,it always shows "updating library" regardless of the fact whether I've added any new music or not to*my laptop. During that process *it hangs like hell. I cannot do anything in*it. This remains for 2 minutes or so. After that, the player works perfectly. What should I do to fix this error?*

I always run CCleaner software to clean up unnecessary temporary files before shutting down my laptop at night.*

What should I do*to fix this trouble?*

1) After Windows Media Player loads, see if you can temporarily disable it from seeing your physical library on the computer... just be sure not to let it delete your physical files on the computer
2) Close the program and open it
3) Re-add your folders to the library
4) Close the program and open it again. What happen?

Hello, I don't have Windows Media Player installed, so I'm not sure exactly what steps to take, yet I found a thread talking about how to disable it. It should be exactly like those steps, or something very similar:
Completely Stop Windows Media Player 12 Library - Windows 7 Help Forums

"
From WMP, click Organize>Manage Libraries and go on your way from there. You can manage what is added to your library there.
