I have a box with windows 8.1 installed and also several hundred megabytes of "updates" so the box is definitely NOT a clean install
my question is, if I go thru the steps to make a win8.1 "recovery disk" on a usb stick, will that recovery disk include all the downloaded updates I did ?
then if I refresh/reset whatever clean install from the recovery disk, reformat drive etc, will the refreshed software from the recovery disk include all those downloaded updates ? or do I have to go thru that process again too ?
I tried searching for "recovery disk" in this 4m and wading thru 1000s of replies but wasn't able to find this answer
I'm guessing based on years of using MS software the answer is NO, the recovery disk does NOT include all my downloaded updates but maybe it does and somebody has already verified this ?
