Solved How to delete 'reimage repair' malware.

I must have unknowingly downloaded this malware on to my laptop with Windows 8.1. Every time I open 'Google Chrome' on my 'Desktop' & try to insert something in the search box, it opens up this 'Reimage repair' site prompting me to download their site. I have done a complete scan with both 'Malwarebytes' & C-cleaner' without success. Any suggestions guys? Thanks.

Please go in the settings of Google Chrome and click 'Manage search engines'.
Delete every search engine you see and make the search engine from Google default.

Thanks for replying axe0. I clicked on 'Settings' in Google Chrome, however, there wasn't a 'Manage Search Engines' in the list. There was a 'Default Browser' where I could make 'Chrome' my default browser. But I don't know whether I want to do that. Isn't there any other solution?

Pardon me axe0, I missed that, I wasn't looking at the secondary headings. I did select Google Chrome as my default browser. But before that I uninstalled Chrome, & then re-installed it again. That seems to have gotten rid of that 'obstinate' crap download scan site. I don't know if it will come back, but if it does I'll try that ESET online scanner brooksndun. Thanks fellas!

You simply resetted Chrome to the default settings if no synchronisation is enabled?

Advice: Check if you have enabled Phishing and Malware Protection in Chrome to reduce the change of getting infected with this kind of roque software.
To activate Phishing and Malware Protection and enable Safe Browsing feature, please follow this procedure.
1. Open Google Chrome Internet browser.
2. Look for the 3-bars icon (Customize and control Google Chrome) on upper right corner of the browser and click on it.
3. It will display various options, features, and settings that you may access to adjust the browser. Click on Settings from the drop-down list.
4. It will open Google Chrome Settings page. This page contains all preferences and configuration for the browser. Left panel displays area or category, while you can see individual items on right panel.
5. On left panel, click on Settings. It will display list of contents on the left panel.
6. Proceed to the area with label Privacy. Sometimes this area is hidden, just click on Show advanced settings… to expand. Items presently active are marked with check. Put a check mark on “Enable phishing and malware protection” to enable this feature.
7. Once you made the changes, close the current tab and you may now restart Google Chrome.
