Solved white screen

several times every day the screen on my monitor starts to, I guess you would describe it as "to flutter", then goes white. not the whole screen, the toolbars and even the clock are still visible. I even tested the monitor on my xp computer and no problems at all. it's just the part of the screen, when it's hooked back up to the 8.1 pc, where i'm on line. could this be the software? or something else?

got it. it turns out, after taking the pc to best buy and having it checked, the pc is working fine. and the screen, or monitor, what ever you want to call it, works just fine. so I called the company who makes them, and after they found out the model number, serial number, how long I had
it, (about 4 years) and what I paid for it and was it new or used. (brand new in the box, $99.99.

and found the problem. they said they are not surprised everybody thought it was the pc acting up.

so what was the problem? you didn't say? old age?

not really sure. but it sound like the screen was acting up because either it6 we on the getting out, or something the pc where the screen is
plugged. because some time the whole screen go's black.

yeah ok.. well then I'll chalk it up to Chinese Components in the screen .. haha
