Folders on the Desktop disappeared on Windows 8.1

Hey guys,

I have the folders and some torrent files and all folders and files dissapred. I really dont understand what happened. There are some important work on folders.

Can anyone tell me how to get it back ? File History is OFF.

Where were they located.?
When did they disappear?
What did you do prior to it happening.

Have you run a scan with your anti-virus? Might be good to download, install and scan with Malwarebytes Anti-malware Free too.

I have run Malwarebytes and no viruses found.

Have you looked in the Recycle bin? If not there you can try running Recuva, see if it can find and resurrect them.

Another possibility is Shadow Explorer.

I have done it all with recoveries and shadowexplorer nothing happened. And now I changed the OS to Windows 10.
