Error 1962 - No operating system found

I am getting the above error, I tried to change the boot sequence to boot from CD drive first and put Bart PE in the drive, but it still would not boot.
Am I looking at a MB failure?

Reading other BBs, it appears that this is a LENOVO problem, and seems to be connected to the SATA cable.
Also, it must be going on for a while, because people with WIN XP have this problem.
When I get the chance, I will try to replace the cable and hope that helps.

I finally managed to boot this computer with a USB stick with Macrium on it. After it was running, it did not show a drive to image. Like there was no drive.
After that I booted with the repair cd I made when we first got the computer. It booted fine and I selected “repair this drive” or something like that, but it tells me it cannot. Then I selected
“Refresh this drive” it comes back with: the drive windows is installed on, is locked, unlock the drive and try again.
Q: how do I unlock the drive?
