Greetings,
I'm observing increasing cases when my OS crashes during install / uninstall process. In last case Pot Player which is not intrusive installer at all and didn't cause any instability before (no drivers or kernel libraries).
It says Kernel Security Check Failure or something such.
Trying to find out by BlueScreenView which loads no crash info.
It seems it may be some problem in registry because the crash occurs right when setup is registering thing into system.
I have several questions:
- what can cause blue screens during software installation?
- how can I verify registry from coruption or rebuild them?
- can I get instructions to make a sufficient BSOD dump and post it here?
Thanks for any helpful info.
chkdsk c: /f - negative
sfc /scannow gives an error (not sure if relevant for the Windows crash). I attach log file.

Code:
C:\>sfc /scannow
Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.
Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 42% complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some
of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For
example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not
supported in offline servicing scenarios.
