Solved Icon font

Windows 8.1
What is the name of the font that contains the following small icons that appear on the start page and apps page?
On the start page there is a down pointing arrow in the lower left portion of the screen and in the upper right there is the power button and search magnifying glass. On the Apps page there is the down "V" adjacent to the word Apps and a search magnifying glass in the upper right corner.

I know that these symbols are in a font and that if that font is deactivated rectangles appear in their place. So, what is name of mystery font?

I think the Windows 8 font is 'Segoe UI'. I don't know what they use for symbols as I've never looked, but maybe have a look through the 'Segoe UI Symbol' font in Character Map and see if what you're looking for is there.
