How do I Keep my windows 8.1 touch screen always in start

Hi

I have set up my windows 8.1 touch screen to always boot up in START mode but when ever I close an app, or close a web address my laptop always reverts to desktop. How can I set up to keep in Start mode, unless I specifically want to go into desktop for any reason?

Un-Check the Start screen checkbox..
