Windows 8.1 IE window won't maximize

I've run into this problem which I can't resolve. About an hour ago I launched IE and the window refuses to maximize to full size.
I've tried the restore button as well as shift clicking it to open to full size but that isn't working. Is there something else I can do?

Any help will be appreciated.
