Upgrading to Fibre broadband questions.

Hi

I am currently using Sky broadband and getting just less than 7mb connection and I've been (and still am) happy with it for years, but I now want to stream 4K which means I will need a Fibre connection.

Technology has changed over the years and as I've not changed router settings and don't really understand routers that much, I'm trying to work out if anything will stop working and need adjusting when I change over to Fibre with a new router.

Anything else that I need to think about when installing a new router?

Your current router adsl(2?) is not compatible with fibre, you need a VDSL modem/router, sky does provide these and you can pretty much drop it in to your current setup.

I am using at this moment fibre broadband, lets put it this way it is fast 2 mins from starting up laptop filling in password and I was online, when you sign up for it you get a new router anyway.
The internet I use at home is fast but as I say this one even faster.
