All my MS Office 2013 programs crashed tonight and I'm trying to figure out what happened. I'm following the instructions here:

This is the section I'm trying to follow:
Starting the application in Safe Mode is a great way to find out if the problem is caused by and add-in. To do this, go to your Start screen in Windows 8 or click Start > Run in Windows 7, and type one of the following commands:
I'm at the start screen and the only place to type anything is in the search box. Is this correct? Because when I type outlook/safe here, it just brings up articles about opening Outlook in safe mode. Isn't it supposed to launch Outlook? What am I doing wrong?
This may be the wrong place to say this, but I HATE windows 8. Sorry.
