I've got a Dell XPS on Win 8.1 that has just started misbehaving in the last week or so.
Every now and again winexplorer.exe just stops working and a reboot is needed.
In the Action > Maintenance center I'm getting loads of the the following errors:
"Windows Explore stopped responding and was closed.
Waiting on Application Name: prevhost.exe"
Previous to these messages there is this on the 17th Aug 2015:
"Preview Handler Surrogate Host Stopped Working
Problem Event Name : CLR20r3
Problem Signature 01: prevhost.exe"
I've looked at Windows Update History and there are no updates at this time.
I've googled and can't find anything about prehost.exe crashing winexplorer.exe.
Any ideas?
