This pops up. Werfault.exe - Application Error

"Click on OK to terminate the program.

Iv'e googled it with no luck. I'm Running Windows 8 64 bit OS.

Trust me I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING! Disabling the file, and multiple CMD commands, please help. This is really getting me mad.

If you haven't got too many programmes installed, I'd just try a fresh install, format the drive completely clean. It's just that it's so quick to reinstall that it's hardly worthwhile fault finding. That's only as long as you're not going to lose anything or accidentally wipe out another partition.

Ok zammy - you will need to give a little more information. "everything stopped working" does not tell us a lot.

All i can click is Close the Program.... For volume mixer it says, "Volume Mixer has stopped working, A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program. And again all i can click is close the program.[/h]

Since All the Windows components were designed to work together, and everybody else is not having the same problem - it is something else installed on your PC software or hardware related If you have had a Bluescreen there will be debugging information available.

go here http://www.eightforums.com/crashes-debugging/3099-bsod-posting-instructions.html#post41069 and follow the instructions amd post the results there, not forgetting:

Everything I try to open stops working if I disable Windows Error Reporting"

I had this same issue this morning. Spent a bunch of time with Microsoft but ultimately got disconnected from them and decided to fix it myself. I basically solved it by disabling everything on start up that I could get away with. I haven't pin pointed the specific item yet, but I did disable the following:

Intel Proset/wireless Framework
Lenovo OneKey Theater App
Lenovo Energy Management Software
Lenovo Battery Software
MS Onenote quick launcher
MS Skydrive
Realtek HD audio manager
USB 3.0 Monitor

After I turned those things off, everything works great. My hunch is that it is either the Realtek HD or USB 3.0 monitor.

BTW: I am running a Lenovo y570 if that helps

EDIT: I just realized this is an old thread....

Sure, the Win8's new task manager can disable start up items. Start task manager, right clicking the toolbar when you are on desktop. Then click on the start up tab. Right click and select disable. It turns out I was wrong both the Realtek HD and USB 3.0 monitor are running fine. The culprit for me was OneKey Theater. Disabling that and you should be fine.
