Solved Operating System Not Found/Partition Locked

So this past weekend I merged two partitions and now I get the error "operating system not found." I cannot boot into Windows 8.1 and desperately need a solution that doesn't require me to lose everything. I also get an error along the lines of the partition with windows on it is locked.

Looks like you've merged the operating system drive and might needed to repair the MBR. Consider repairing it using EaseUS Partition Master:

FREE Rebuild MBR, repair MBR, fix MBR or MBR recovery with free EaseUS Partition Master

...I can't get into anything. I'm on my laptop. The issue is with my desktop. How would I run that on my desktop if I can't access anything?

boot your PC with the windows setup media
boot into your windows setup media and when at the "install" screen select "repair this computer" then "startup repair"

OK. Start taping F8 just after starting your PC to boot into advanced startup options. From there, you need to click on system recovery options and choose command propmt. Follow the below mentioned commands to repair corrupt MBR:

bootrec.exe /fixmbr

bootrec.exe /fixboot
​

​

bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd​

I tried this. No luck with anything so far :/

What two partitions did you merge ??
How was your PC setup MBR-Bios or UEFI-GPT ??
x86 or x64 ??

to be able to see and gain access to your current disk - download Win8.1SE ISO in my sig below and create bootable media, then boot your pc into my recovery enviroment

C drive and another unallocated partition.
64, I believe.
I have no idea about that...

I think the solution oliverpowell provided helped, but I'm going to see how it goes and provide what feedback I can.
