Hi all,
I upgraded; no, downgraded to Windows 10 - I guess you get what you pay for.
2 Days later I downgraded but with a clean install of my Win 8.1 Pro. In the updates it still installed the KB "important" update even though I hid it. After reboot the rotten icon was back again - that hamburger thing - so I uninstalled the KB 303 cannot remember the rest, but the icon is gone and no gmx.exe is on my system
Is there a way via regedit to stop it ever doing it again? I might upgrade when it no longer looks like a beta version and bugs are ironed out, but at the moment I loathe it with a vengeance.
Am I the only one who likes windows 8.1 and the metro screen? I find it useful across devices for the work I do.
Anyway, thanks in advance for any answers
