Will Windows 10 Upgrade After Reverting Back To Win 8.1

Hi all,
I upgraded; no, downgraded to Windows 10 - I guess you get what you pay for. :zip:

2 Days later I downgraded but with a clean install of my Win 8.1 Pro. In the updates it still installed the KB "important" update even though I hid it. After reboot the rotten icon was back again - that hamburger thing - so I uninstalled the KB 303 cannot remember the rest, but the icon is gone and no gmx.exe is on my system

Is there a way via regedit to stop it ever doing it again? I might upgrade when it no longer looks like a beta version and bugs are ironed out, but at the moment I loathe it with a vengeance.

Am I the only one who likes windows 8.1 and the metro screen? I find it useful across devices for the work I do.

Anyway, thanks in advance for any answers

Just hide the update if it shows up in updates again. You have to delete the GWX folder, if the Uninstall does not remove it.

I done the same as you, but it worked OK for me. Are you sure you hid the right update?

After going back from Windows 10 and clean installing Windows 8.1, I just hid KB3035583 and this prevented GWX (Get Windows 10) from installing. As you can see below, it has stayed hidden for me, so I'm not sure why it hasn't for you.
