This PC has been fantastic since I got it last year. never any problems. The past few days though Explorer has been acting up. When I open This PC it's empty, eventually the icons appear but then I still have to wait a long time for the percentage bar and the green loading thing across the address bar basically stays on forever. When I open Control Panel sometimes it's empty too. Several times I have gotten stuck on the Start screen. I can't click anything, though I can alt+tab and see the other programs but when I let go it goes right back to the Start screen. Last time I just left it on the screen and went to bed, when I woke up it was unstuck but still had the other issues. oh and when I boot it takes a long time, like an hour or more for my Startup programs to load and show their icons in the system tray. After a long time they suddenly all show up at once.
I have tried running Windows Update and updated everything and of course rebooting. I ran Windows Defender and AdAwre. Tried defragging too as well as clearing some room on my C: drive since it was nearly full via CCleaner and uninstalling.
Any other things I could try? This is Win 8.1.
