I have Win 8.1/pro installed on an old Dell and the drive ran out of space. I cloned (using Macrium Reflect) the drive to a larger drive (and extended the partition) and installed the new drive in the PC. Everything looked good except that I lost my folder redirection/relocation. Is that something to be expected? I would have thought a clone would show no change from the original. It was a non-event to fix, but I was just surprised to find that and glad I checked.
If this is normal behavior, what other issues might arise from the new drive (clone)?
It was an 80Gb drive cloned to a 160Gb drive. The 80Gb drive had less than 1Gb free. The process took 35 minutes on an old Dell 330 running an E2180 cpu and 3 GB ram. Win 8.1/pro runs great on it!
