Couldn't quite come up with a good title to sum up what the issue is. Searched around but couldn't find the relevant topic.
I have the Dell XPS 13, i7, non-touch, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Win 8.1.
It seems that certain programs that I've installed, the most recent one will start up when I boot up the laptop, even though I've disabled their start up within options. I've checked the Startup folders in the start menu, task manager start up, regedit (both local machine and current user), and none have the application inside.
For example, I installed Teamviewer, and it always started up during the Windows boot, despite startup being unchecked. Then I later installed MacType, and the MacType wizard keeps popping up when I boot into Windows now in place of Teamviewer. I've installed these on other computers and have never had this issue. Renaming the application works, but I do need MacType to start up, just silently, and as a service rather than the Wizard.
Any ideas? Thanks.
