I mistakenly associated a .modd file to open with Sony's browser PMH and would like to disassociate it and revert back to Choose Default Program.., but I just cannot find any options within the system to allow you to do this. Have searched the net for answers but get the usual answers which do not apply. Can someone help me with this please
Thanks in advance

Very simple. Browse to the (a) file in question, right click the file, and then click properties. Then click the CHANGE button, and you can change it back to whatever application / program that you want the file to be opened with. By doing one file it will change the default association on all files with that extension.

Hi play2mefish
Thanks for your reply , but it is not really what I require. I don't want the file to open, as I think it's just an info-tag associated with it's photo file. I want to be able to set it back to it's original default ie: to let me choose which program I'd like to open it with. At the moment, because I mistakenly set it to open with Sony's browser PMH, I now have every .modd file for each photo with the browser icon.
It would be so easy to have included it in the 'choice dialogue-box', so a mistake could easily be undone after realising the mistake.
Thanks in advance if someone has the solution to this problem.

PS The file .modd is a hidden file and I have changed the choice to show no hidden files, which has removed them from view. I would still like to know how to unassociate the file from any programs as it would have been initially.
Thanks
