Since an automatic update from Windows 8 to 8.1 I have lost all Audio. After countless hours of driver updates and registry cleaners I am still non the wiser, any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I have furthermore deleted AVG 2015 and re-installed it, still to no avail.

I do not know what registry cleaners you are using but I rarely if almost never recommend them. Please check device manager and take a snapshot of it and upload it. Press :winkey: then type devmgmt.msc . If all the drivers are fine and running it may be your installation that got corrupted. We can try to attempt to fix it running various tools that are found within the OS. Please follow the steps in this tutorial do OPTION 2 , this process can take some time (20 minutes ~ 1 hour)
